Skills and Competencies:
- Adobe Creative Suite
As a photography student I have been trained in the use of Adobe Creative Suite programs including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom for photo editing as well as Adobe Premiere Pro and Rush for video editing.
- Studio Lighting and Technical Ability
I predominantly work in studio producing portraiture and so I am experienced in the use of a range of studio equipment. I have attended masterclasses with photographers such as Lucy Ridges which have heightened my technical ability in a studio environment.
- Creative Direction
With my creative works being very staged in nature I have skills in gathering, organising and directing sets, props, costumes and models.
- Teamwork and Communication
As a portrait photographer I often collaborate with other creatives such as models, makeup artists and other photographers, meaning I have a strong ability to communicate and work in a team. I recently participated in a masterclass with photographer Ella Roberts in which I worked as part of a group alongside other photographers and a makeup artist to produce editorial fashion images.
- Microsoft Office
From my time in education from college to university I have experience in using Microsoft Office programs, from Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint for casebooks to Microsoft Excel for the creation of budget tables.
- Planning and Organisation
As a photography student I have well-tested experience in planning and organisation. In the second year of my BA I worked as part of a team to plan and host a photography exhibition outside of university, which meant visiting venues, working with a set budget and advertising the event. When our venue cancelled on us two days before our exhibition day, I worked closely with my team to visit, measure and plan out the new exhibition space, allowing for the exhibition to go ahead.
- Research
I have recently completed a dissertation for my degree which required extensive research into my chosen topic which I then applied and referenced accordingly.
